I am a New Zealander (Ngāi Tahu) based in Melbourne, Australia. Work with oil paint, cold wax, sand, fabric, and other textured materials I like to create layered, tactile paintings that evolve through repetition and reworking. My practice is intuitive and material-led, guided by the interactions of surface, colour, and texture rather than a fixed plan.

Each piece develops through curiosity and engagement with the materials. I build, subtract, soften, and shift until the painting finds its own resolution, allowing subtle changes in tone and texture to shape the work. My focus is on creating expressive, tactile paintings that invite close attention and reveal the emotional resonance of materials in process.
